NeoSurg Technologies, Inc. Receives U.S. Patent
for T2000 Reusable Trocar Access System

Houston, TX April 8, 2003 - NeoSurg Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of minimally invasive access products for laparoscopic surgery, is pleased to announce that it has been granted a patent relating to its replaceable tip delivery technology. The patent, U.S. No. 6,544,277, titled "Obturator Assembly" covers the replaceable tip for its trocar system, the T2000 Reusable Trocar System. This patent covers the connection feature of the tip along with a variety of tip geometries.

About the T2000 System
The T2000 System consists of a Reusable Trocar constructed of titanium and hard anodized aluminum for durability and reliability. The access tip is disposable which provides the surgeon with a consistently sharp and controlled penetration. A locking shielding mechanism is attached to the main trocar to guard the tip during insertion.
