NeoSurg Technologies, Inc. Receives U.S Patent
for T2000 Reusable Trocar Access System
 

Houston, TX August 31, 2004 - NeoSurg Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of minimally invasive access products for laparoscopic surgery, is pleased to announce that it has been granted a patent relating to its metal to metal flapper door technology. The patent, U.S. No. 6,783,516, titled "Trocar" covers the flapper door access mechanism for the T2000 Reusable Trocar System.

"This metal to metal flapper door technology will not only provide a reliable seal, but will also eliminate any silicon from the current product. About the T2000 System
The T2000 System consists of a Reusable Trocar constructed of titanium and hard anodized aluminum for durability and reliability. The access tip is disposable which provides the surgeon with a consistently sharp and controlled penetration. A locking shielding mechanism is attached to the main trocar to guard the tip during insertion.
